Originally from Aberdeen, South Dakota, and having graduated from Northern State University with a bachelor's degree in history and a minor in religious studies, Peter moved to Bigfork, Montana in 2013 where he began to learn metal art as an apprentice.
After developing his skills with metal working tools and welding, he began crafting his own bodies of work. Out of these was birthed his new small business called Montana Plaques.
Montana captured Peter's heart as an outdoorsman. The rustic, yet refined hand-crafted work that you see here is a reflection of the wild nature of Montana that Peter fell in love with. Whether it's artwork or hunting, the passion for Montana runs deep.
Today, he works full time as a metal artist, specializing in handmade, one of a kind, custom metal art that is made with an excellence that shadows his way of life.
